| Can We Have A Wedding On The Beach? |
All of our beaches are public beaches. My experience
has shown, however, that regardless of the number of
beach visitors, they tend to be very respectful of the
wedding party. The beaches in Cocoa Beach are very wide
so it is not difficult to find a spot for your wedding. |
| What Is A Beach Wedding Like? |
 |
| A beach wedding can be almost anything you want it to be. Rented
or personal decorations can be used. I will work with
you to set it up just the way you want.

|
| What Do We Do In The Event Of Inclement Weather? |
In the event of poor weather, we can ask your hotel to provide a
meeting room or other location. In my experience, the
weather has been a problem only occasionally. |
| Which Beach Locations Do You Use? |
| For couples that are staying at a local beachside hotel,
I suggest using the beach behind the hotel. For those
who travel from out of town to be married on the beach,
one of the many county parks in the area can be used.
Lori
Wilson Park in downtown Cocoa Beach is a location
I have used regularly and one I highly recommend.

|
| Does It Cost Anything To Use The Beach For My Wedding? |
No. The beach is free and open to the public.
|
 |
How Long Does The Ceremony Take? |
| A simple ceremony with no photography, videography, music, readings,
etc., takes about 15 minutes. Otherwise, you can expect
to spend between 30 - 45 minutes, but probably no more
than one hour, from start to finish.
|
| |
| |
| What Is Your Role In The Wedding? |
My primary responsibility is to coordinate your
wedding. As an added service, I provide each couple
with a selection of ceremonies to choose from. You
may, however, write your own ceremony or edit mine
to suit your needs. I also provide packages with the
most commonly requested wedding services. The
packages are flexible - services can be added or eliminated
to create the package you want. Also,
as a member of the Space Coast Bridal Association,
I can recommend wedding professionals to assist with
other services.
|
| Can You Provide Witnesses For The Wedding? |
| Florida law does not require witnesses to the wedding.

|
| Do I Need A Florida Marriage License And How Do
I Get One? |
Yes, to be married in Florida you must have a Florida
marriage license.
 |
Florida residents must appear in
person at any county court house with a valid
photo ID such as a driver's license or a passport. |
 |
Non-residents can get their license
in person at any county court house or by mail.
|
 |
The marriage license can be used
anywhere in Florida and is valid for 60 days
from the date it is issued. |
 |
Non-residents do not have a waiting
period - they can be married as soon as their
marriage license is issued. |
 |
Blood tests are not required for
anyone. |
 |
If either party has been married
previously, you will need to know the date the
prior marriage(s) ended. You do NOT need to
have supporting documentation such as divorce
decree or death certificate. |
 |
The fee for the Florida marriage
license (approximately $93.50) is a separate
fee paid directly to the issuing county. It
is not part of my fee or part of any package. |

|
| Who Are You And How Do I Hire You For My Wedding? |
I’m
a former Brevard County resident and Florida notary
public who coordinated and officiated weddings in Brevard
County during the four years I lived there. I’ve been
married since July 1969, and am an Air Force retiree
with 25 years of active military service.
